Digital Camera:
If you wanted to take a picture and e-mail it to a friend, you will need a Digital Camera since you will need the image to be represented in the language that computers recognize - bits and bytes.
Essentially, a digital image is just a long string of '1s and 0s' that represent all the tiny colored dots or pixels that collectively make up the image.
Just like a conventional camera, a Digital Camera has a series of lenses that focus light to create an image. But, instead of focusing this light onto a piece of film, it focuses it onto a 'semi-conductor device' that records light electronically.
A computer then breaks this electronic information down into digital data. It has a sensor that converts light into electrical charges.
The image sensor employed by most Digital Cameras is a 'Charged Coupled Device' (CCD). Some low-end Digital cameras use complementary 'Metal Oxide Semiconductor' (CMOS) technology.
The higher the number of pixels, the greater is the resolution of the image produced by this Computer Accessory.
CD Burner (CD±R/W):
Another cheap Computer Accessory is the CD Burner. If you would like to be able to store music or save computer files on a CD, you will require a CD Burner.
DVD Burner:
You will need this computer accessory if you own a Digital Camcorder and need to store family portraits, special occasion pictures, etc. on removable media or to copy DVD movies.
A DVD Burner also burns CDs so if you purchase a DVD Burner, you do not need a CD Burner.
A brownout is a temporary interruption of power and is a reduction of electrical power rather than a complete blackout. This causes dimming and flickering of lights and greatly affects electrical equipment such as computers, appliances, etc.
Final Thoughts ………
A computer accessory will enable you to enjoy the versatility of your PC.
The accessories named above are among the more common ones but there are many others that are currently being used.
